Team calls and screen sharing for the Mac.
See who’s online, call in one click, share your screen with sound and draw on it together. Founder Hud lives in your menu bar. Use it with your team today, and soon with the contractors and clients you work with.
Your team’s first month is free. macOS on Apple Silicon.
Presence
See who’s online.
Faces in your menu bar show who’s online and who’s away, with a dot for anyone in a call. People lists everyone with a Call button, so a conversation is one click away, or ⌘K and a name.
Calls
Calls that ring like a phone.
No link to paste and no meeting room to find. Click Call, and your teammate’s Mac rings with Answer and Decline.
Each call gets its own window with who’s here, who’s speaking, the chat and the transcript. Calls still connect on networks that block direct connections.
Transcripts and notes
Your calls write their own notes.
Turn on transcripts and each Mac writes down what its own person says, on the Mac. When the call ends, your Mac turns the transcript into a summary, the decisions and the to-dos.
Transcribed on your Mac
Apple’s speech recognition, on each Mac. On a direct call the lines go straight to the others, never through our servers.
Notes with owners
Decisions with the line they came from, and to-dos with an owner, added to the team’s to-dos. Notes need Apple Intelligence.
Replay
A past call’s transcript beside what was on the shared screen when each line was said, on each Mac that watched the share.
Search
Press ⌘K to search transcripts, call notes, decisions, chat and to-dos.
More than calls
Set it up your way.
The same window that rings your teammates holds the team’s chat, to-dos, notes, files and bookmarks, a click or two away. You choose what reaches you.
One Workspace
Inbox, Chat, Calls, Files and every app on one page, a click away.
What reaches you
Turn each notification on or off: messages, mentions, beams, to-dos for you, missed calls.
Beam
Send a link or a file straight to a teammate’s computer. In a call, Founder Hud can open it for them at once.
Search from anywhere
⌘K in the window, or a shortcut you set to search from any app.
Make it yours
Plain files you can read, edit and script.
Your calls, notes and chats live in a folder on your Mac, as Markdown and JSON. Open them in any editor, search them, or point a script at them. Founder Hud keeps them current and never deletes them.
inbox/todo-1.json
{"todo": {"add": "Invite the 3 agencies", "assignee": "ines"}}Calls as Markdown
Each call gets a folder with transcript.md and notes.md. decisions.md collects the decisions from every call.
Notes both ways
Notes are Markdown files. Edit one in any editor and Founder Hud merges the change, even when someone typed meanwhile.
Script it
Drop a JSON file in inbox/ to post a message, add or finish a to-do, save a bookmark, or send a link or file. Follow events.jsonl to react as things happen.
Your Lowbit
Pick a Lowbit or a Bit, then its hat and its color, in Settings.
Call controls
A small call bar that stays out of your way.
Hide Founder Hud and a small bar keeps the call: faces, mute, camera, share and leave. Drag it and it snaps to a corner or the bottom middle. It never takes focus.
When you share your whole display, every Founder Hud window stays out of it.
GuestsIn development
Bring in contractors and clients.
Contractors, freelancers and clients will join your calls from a link, without an account. Guests are free and never take a seat on your team.
Why we built it
The tool we wished we had.
We build products all day as a small team, on calls, with agents doing much of the typing. Every call app we tried was made for meetings. We wanted one made for working side by side, built with the care we put into our own products.
Made for the Mac
A native app in your menu bar. It follows your light or dark setting, and its call bar never takes focus from your work.
Made for two to eight
Calls ring like a phone. Everyone gets a cursor on one shared screen, so “this one” means one thing.
Fast on every click
Every page is built to show on the next frame. Founder Hud stays quiet when nothing happens, and out of your share when you show your screen.
Lowbit and toys
Have some fun.
Everyone gets Lowbit, a pixel pet in their own color. It puts on headphones when its person joins a call and falls asleep when it is late.
On a share, throw confetti, slap a sticker on the page or land a duck on a sticky.
- InesOnline
- TheoIn a call
- NoorFernpost went live
- SamAsleep. It is late.
Confetti
Pull back and let go, or click for a small burst.
Sword
Swing it through a sticky to cut it in half.
Stickers
Eight Lowbits in your color, from lgtm to dibs.
Hammer
Cracks the screen. The cracks fade on their own.
Duck
Fling it with the slingshot. It lands on stickies and the drawing dock.

What your team would pay
Move the sliders. Tuple bills every member at $30 a month; Founder Hud bills only the people who were on a call.
Guests, contractors and clients you invite by link never count.
How billing works
- Founders
- Your first two active people each month, at $5 each. Or $99 a year for both, paid up front.
- Teammates
- Everyone after your founders, at $19 for each person on a call that month.
- Active
- Anyone on your team who started or joined a call that month. Everyone else is free.
- First month
- Free for your whole team, counted from your first call. No card.
- After that
- New calls need Team. Presence, chat and history stay, and a call in progress never cuts off.
- Guests
- Free, with no account and no seat on your team. A guest joins a call from a link.
Privacy
Calls encrypted end to end.
Direct calls are encrypted end to end and signed with a key on your Mac, in the Secure Enclave where it has one. Read a safety number out loud once, and Founder Hud warns you if it ever changes.
Transcripts never go to our servers. Calls of 4 or more go through media servers, and Founder Hud marks them as not end-to-end.

How it works
For the people who want to know.
- Small calls
- 2 or 3 people, directly between Macs over WebRTC.
- Larger calls
- 4 to 8 people, through Cloudflare’s Realtime SFU.
- Hard networks
- A Cloudflare TURN relay when a network blocks direct connections.
- Screen video
- H.264, encoded in hardware with VideoToolbox. Up to 3840×2160 at 30 fps; Auto adapts at up to 8 Mbps.
- Shared sound
- 128 kbps stereo Opus.
- Encryption
- A P-256 key per Mac, in the Secure Enclave where the Mac has one and the Keychain otherwise, signs each direct call’s connection details. Safety numbers are 30 digits.
- Transcripts and notes
- Apple’s SpeechAnalyzer on each Mac, and notes from Apple’s on-device model.
- The app
- Swift and SwiftUI, for macOS on Apple Silicon.

Questions
Who is Founder Hud for?
Small product teams on Macs who talk many times a day, and the contractors and clients they work with.
How many people can join a call?
Up to 8 today. Calls of 2 or 3 go directly between Macs; from 4 people they go through media servers. Larger meetings are in development.
Can contractors and clients join?
That is the next thing we’re building. Guests will join a call from a link, without an account or a seat. They will always be free.
Are calls private?
Direct calls are encrypted end to end and signed with a key on each Mac. Compare a safety number once to know it’s them. Calls of 4 to 8 go through media servers that can decrypt them, and Founder Hud marks those calls.
Where do transcripts go?
Each Mac transcribes its own microphone. On a direct call it also sends its lines to the others, so every Mac saves the whole transcript. Transcripts never go to our servers. After the call, the to-dos go to the team’s to-dos, and the summary to the call’s chat if you turn that on or to a team note if you share the notes; the decisions stay in the notes on your Mac.
Does it work on Windows, Linux or in a browser?
Not yet. Founder Hud runs on Macs with Apple Silicon.
What does it cost?
Your team’s first month is free, from your first call, with no card. Then your first two people, your founders, are $5 each a month, and each teammate who was on a call is $19. Guests are always free. These are launch prices and may change.
Bring your team.
