Calls that ring like a phone.

No link to paste and no meeting to schedule. Click Call, and your teammate’s Mac rings with Answer and Decline. Calls hold up to 8 people and run from the menu bar.

Starting a call

One click from anyone who’s around.

People lists everyone with their status and a Call button. From anywhere, press ⌘K and type a name.

Faces in your menu bar show who’s online, who’s away and who’s already in a call, so you know before you ring.

The call window

Who’s here, who’s talking, and what was said.

Each call gets its own window: everyone’s camera with an edge around whoever is speaking, the call’s chat, and the transcript as it’s written.

The chat stays with the call afterwards. The summary your Mac writes stays on your Mac unless you post it to the chat.

How a call connects

Direct when it can be, relayed when it must.

  • 2 or 3 people

Directly between Macs over WebRTC, encrypted end to end.

  • 4 to 8 people

Through Cloudflare’s Realtime SFU. The app marks these calls as not end to end.

  • Hard networks

A Cloudflare TURN relay connects calls when a network blocks direct connections.

  • Meetings beyond 8In development

Standups and reviews with the whole company.

During a call

A small bar that keeps the call.

Hide Founder Hud and a small bar stays: faces, mute, camera, share and leave. Drag it and it snaps to a corner or the bottom middle. It never takes focus from what you’re typing.

Privacy

Encrypted between your Macs.

Direct calls are encrypted end to end. Each Mac signs the call’s connection details with a key kept in its Secure Enclave, or the Keychain on a Mac without one.

Read a 30-digit safety number out loud once with a teammate, and Founder Hud warns you if their key ever changes.

Bring your team.

Leave your work email. We will write when Founder Hud is ready for your team.
