Point, draw, comment and stickies

Everyone watching a share gets a cursor in their own color with their name, so "this one" means one thing. The person sharing sees every cursor and mark on their real screen, in a layer that stays out of the share itself.

Pick a tool

The tray at the bottom of the share has three tools: Point, Draw and Toys. Draw opens the pen, Highlighter, Box, Arrow, Text, Eraser, Comment, the sticky pad and Clear mine in the same tray. Click Draw or Toys again to go back to Point.

Press P with any tool to ping where your cursor is.

Draw

Draw has these shapes. Press its key, or pick it in Draw's tray.

A tool's options show above the tray: the colors and the line widths. Click the tool again to hide them. Draw in your own color, or pick Graphite, Red, Orange, Blue or Purple. [ makes the line thinner and ] thicker.

Start typing right after you draw a box to label it. Press Delete right after to remove it.

Cursor chat

Press / and type next to your cursor. Everyone sees it as you type. The person sharing can do the same on their own screen with ⌃⌥/.

Stickies

Click the sticky pad to put a sticky in view, or drag one off the pad onto the screen. With Sticky picked, a click on the screen drops one there. Pick yellow, peach, mint or sky above the tray. Stickies stay until someone removes them.

Founder Hud doesn't send sticky or cursor chat text that looks like a password or a key.

How long marks stay

Marks fade on their own, so the screen stays readable:

MarkStays
Stroke3 seconds
Box4 seconds
Comment8 seconds, up to 20 for long ones
Cursor chat5 seconds after you press Return
StickyUntil someone removes it

To keep a stroke or a box, hold Shift while you draw it. To keep a comment, click Pin while you type it, or Pin it afterwards. A pinned comment stays until you remove it.

Clear your marks

Click Clear mine at the end of Draw's tray, or right-click the screen while a tool other than Point is picked. In Point, Esc does it too. Each removes your strokes, boxes, comments, stickies, text and stickers for everyone, and leaves everyone else's. Leaving the call takes away your cursor, and your marks stay until they fade or someone removes them. The end of the share removes every mark.
